After 20 years as a weekly presenter of blues and world music on WDIY, the NPR affiliate radio station in the Lehigh Valley of eastern Pennsylvania, I thought that my radio days were over. I'd moved to France. How could I possibly hook up with a radio station in a country whose language I couldn't speak fluently? I have adequate French for most purposes, but not for presenting music and telling stories on the radio. Nope. Not gonna happen.
Except of course, it did happen. I read a post on Facebook about a startup internet station for English-speaking expats in France. I met Wayne Allen, a musician who had landed a show and who wanted some pointers. And before you knew it, I was scheduled for two, two-hour shows each week.
I'll archive my playlists in Word on this page. There will always be one show that you can stream on my show page on the radio station's website HERE. And I've opened a Mixcloud account where you can listen to several of my archived shows HERE. As you can see, as you can hear, I present an eclectic mix. Tagline as follows:
